St. Louis Submits Smart City Challenge Proposal

The Smart City Challenge is nation wide competition that will select one mid-sized city as the winner based upon their proposal. The grant recipient will receive federal resources and funding of up to $40 million to implement their transportation plans.

The St. Louis proposal would enable the neighborhoods of the 17th Ward to pursue their vision for smart transportation solutions that connect people and opportunities. The plan focuses primarily on connecting the central corridor with the HUD designated St. Louis Promise Zone.
